Google’s main office in Norway is located in the popular Aker Brygga district of Oslo and provides a modern and comfortable location for its employees. Due to the continued growth, Google experienced that in Norway they require the expansion of this office to provide space for an additional 50 employees. Alongside this expanded office fit out there is a requirement for new break out and lounge spaces, an overhauled micro kitchen space and a completely remodelled main kitchen and cafeteria within the office.

This complicated project requires phased delivery of areas and tight rules regarding noisy working to minimise any disruption to the employees in the existing office environment.

Following a successful working relationship with Google in their Stockholm office, Aurora was engaged to provide a full cost management service for this project. Detailed early cost planning and value engineering allowed for an exciting and fun design that fits in with Google’s fixed budget.
