Urban Escape is a landmark re-development of an existing quarter in the heart of Stockholm creating 130,000m2 of lettable office, hotel, conference, retail and restaurants facilities. New residential accommodation will also be added to include a series of roof terrace’s and facilities taking full advantage of the views across Stockholm.

The scheme comprises 6 separate phases ranging from alterations to and upgrade of the existing shopping centre, alterations to and full renovation of retained buildings, additional floor levels to 4 buildings and complete demolition, site clearance and construction of the prime corner block. Works also include the landlord fit out of tenant areas.
Site logistics are critical in the development of this project. Situated on a busy traffic intersection, site traffic has been reduced by 82%, providing for continued trading of the shopping centre together with the existing servicing arrangements and car parking serving the centre. Aurora Construction Consultancy AB are providing full cost management services from pre-contract stage to final account on all the phases.
These services include providing cost calculations at each stage of design, tracking cost of design change between design stages, contract advice for all contracts, cost advice in support of the negotiation of the contracts and for each of the tenant fit outs undertaken by the landlord, estimating and agreeing costs of post contract changes, cost reporting and cost forecasting. Rigorous cost management control measures have been implemented throughout to enable the client to make informed decisions at every stage.
